FAQ
We receive flowers from all over South Africa, either by courier or through a studio drop-off if you are close to Cape Town. Once your blooms arrive, they are gently deconstructed, pressed and preserved with care. The design and layout process follows, where each element is thoughtfully arranged to honour the memory it holds. You will receive a photo of the proposed layout for approval before the flowers are secured between the glass. Once finalised, your framed Forever Florals piece is beautifully packaged and couriered to your door.
The full process takes around four to five months. It is a natural and unhurried craft, shaped by patience, detail and creativity. A journey from fresh to forever that is worth every moment. Click here to read more about the preservation timeline.
Yes, we do. We accept bookings up to seven days after your event.
If you are unsure of the condition of your flowers, you are welcome to email a photo to hello@foreverflorals.co.za and we will gladly guide you. In most cases, flowers within this timeframe are still suitable, and wilted or gently dried blooms can be preserved beautifully.
If more than seven days have passed, you can still book a bouquet recreation, where we thoughtfully rebuild your arrangement with fresh blooms that capture the spirit and memory of your original bouquet.
To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking as soon as you are able. Wedding season has its peaks, and those busy months can fill up quickly.
Yes, we can usually make changes to your order, but only until the design stage begins, which is typically around two months after we receive your flowers at the studio.
Yes, absolutely. It is also a beautiful idea for an anniversary gift.
You are welcome to book a bouquet recreation through our website. Once your order is placed, we will reach out via email and ask you to share a photo of your original bouquet.
With that, we will provide a quote for the fresh flowers sourced from our trusted local florist, and then begin creating a piece that lovingly reflects your original arrangement.
The sooner the better, although we are able to work with flowers for up to a week after your event.
You will receive detailed postage instructions to guide you on sending your blooms to our studio, ideally on the first working day after the celebration.
Our Cape Town studio accepts deliveries from Monday to Friday, and you are also welcome to drop off your flowers at Caroline’s in the V&A Waterfront, which is open seven days a week.
When you make your booking, you will receive all the postage instructions you need. You are welcome to use any courier service you prefer to send your flowers directly to our studio, though we recommend Courier Guy for reliability. Please avoid PostNet, as slower delivery may result in the flowers not reaching us in time to preserve. An overnight service is strongly advised.

There are usually only a few blooms left over. From your fresh flowers, we carefully select those in the best condition to preserve. Once preserved, we choose the most beautiful pieces for your design and use as many as the layout allows, ensuring your artwork feels full, intentional and true to your bouquet.
This can vary depending on the type of flower and the condition in which it enters the press. Light flowers often preserve in a softer, paler shade, while darker blooms can deepen, and some may develop a subtle sepia tone over time.
This is part of the natural, organic journey of each flower, evolving from one state to another. It is a beauty that matures with time, carrying its own story.
While these preserved blooms are designed to last for years, they are still an organic plant product, and a gentle fading of colour over time is natural. This is part of the inherent beauty of flowers as they age.
To help maintain their colour, shape and quality for longer, display your botanical artwork away from direct sunlight, moisture, or heat sources such as fireplaces or kettles.
Yes, we can. We can transform it into a beautiful flat-lay piece, capturing its character and memory. Please note that we do not preserve air-dried flowers as a three-dimensional arrangement in a box frame.
If you need to update your shipping address, please email us at hello@foreverflorals.co.zaand we will happily assist.
To keep your botanical artwork looking its best, display it away from direct sunlight, moisture, or heat sources such as fireplaces or kettles.
While it is very rare, tiny pests can sometimes find their way into frames depending on environmental conditions. During the preservation process, each petal is carefully inspected for any insects or eggs, pressed with care, and treated with a gentle fumigation to ensure your piece is pest-free before it leaves our studio.
Due to the organic nature of flowers, we cannot take responsibility for the artwork once it is out of our care. However, if your piece is affected, we are happy to repair or remake it at a quoted rate. This process involves carefully reopening, inspecting and reconstructing your piece to restore it.
For enquiries about repairs or remakes, please contact us at hello@foreverflorals.co.za
